hi richard , great day at kgh for the filming of northern soul. superb attention to detail, even down to those little round tables they used to have at the casino . the enthusiasm of the cast dancers and crew was superb and hopefully will do justice to to the music and scene that we have loved for so many years . literally the soundtrack to our lives ! most appropriate tune of the afternoon after the track had been layed for the boom camera must have been don thomas – come on train . nice to see the story involving some of those little nuances of the scene like cover ups and not just relying on the drugs references .great to take part in some of the scenes . how good would it be to make the final edit. they might need a few special effects to amend some of the grey barnets . mine for one . when does the film come out richard and will it premier at k.g.h. ? take note manchester council free parking on a saturday and sunday. you know it makes sense.

Hi Phill
Yes, what a day!
Really pretty incredible all in all with over 1,000 in the King Georges Hall either watching the filming or taking part on the dancefloor.
A great mix of faces old and new also….certainly a day to remember and I m now looking forward to welcoming everyone back for the premiere sometime next year. As soon as we have the date it will be announced right here.
Now it’s on to the Pendulum Reunion this Friday in Manchester, reliving many of the classic sounds that you just don t hear anywhere these days.
Keep in touch
Best wishes
Richard

Hi Phill
Yes, it is interesting how Northern is so high profile right now. Radio 5 live for two hours last Monday morning with Pete Roberts and myself on a national “Northern Soul ” phone -in, a 6 hour Northern All Nighter to be presented by myself this coming Sunday morning on Smooth Radio (midnight – 6am) and the later that day the TV drama you refer to..not forgetting the forthcoming film, “Northern Soul” which is set for it’s world premiere next year here in the North West!
The Pendulum went very well, thanks, Club Moho Live is certainly a perfect venue.
Best regards
Richard
