To co-incide with and further strengthen our WIGAN CASINO 39th ANNIVERSARY celebrations at the King Georges Hall in Blackburn on SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 22nd, it is now confirmed that Motown 60s group THE ELGINS will be appearing on stage and performing 5 of their classic Motown numbers!
In addition, lead vocalist YVONNE VERNEE will sing here incredibly brilliant and in-demand SONBERT 45 , “Just like you did me”.
THE ELGINS (featuring Yvonne Vernee) appear at the annual Wigan Casino Anniversary event that Kev Roberts have hosted now for 15 years.
In addition to this legendary Motown act, we are delighted to also have SNAKE DAVIS and THE SUSPICIONS appearing with a special Northern Soul set on the same night!
There will be 3 Wigan Casino DJs on stage , myself RICHARD SEARLING plus DAVE EVISON and KEV ROBERTS ably supported by BBC RADIO LANCASHIRE’S KEITH FLETCHER , PETE ECCLES and GINGER TAYLOR.
As usual at Blackburn this will be a 3 -roomer, with Jazz Funk and Modern Soul in the Windsor and Blakeys respectively.

The next Soul Cruise Up North is scheduled for Saturday August 3rd 2013 on the River Tyne, encompassing a 4 hour cruise, dinner and a night club all for £25pp!
